Where are they now?

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

In an effort to keep us up to speed with former Rage players and staff, Rage Management is launching a new section to the webpage; "WHERE ARE THEY NOW?".

Over the almost ten years of the existence of the Rage-Nation many players and personnel have come and gone. This section is devoted to those who have passed through our doors. Please enjoy the stories.

(Who are these Former-Rage players?)

Gerald "Hurricane" Harris

Gerald "Hurricane" Harris came to the Rage in 2004 while attending college. He played defensive back for the team as they garnered their first Division and Conference Championship. But "Hurricane" had loftier ideas; he moved on to his "Ultimate" goal. Below is his bio.

Bio

Full Name: Gerald Harris II
Nickname: Hurricane
Age: 28
Mixed Martial Arts Record: 9-2
Full MMA Statistics on Sherdog.com
Hometown: Tulsa, OK
This father of two is not your typical mixed martial arts fighter. The affable Gerald Harris attended East Central High in Tulsa before attending Cleveland State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in history. Harris has always been athletic - he wrestled all throughout college and even played semi-pro football. While he was in college, Harris pursued one of his lifelong dreams: stand up comedy. Though he was fairly successful, he realized that there just wasn’t enough money in it for him and that he needed a stable income. Harris decided to become a high school history teacher, teaching two years in Florida and for one year at his alma mater in Tulsa. He got into mixed martial arts through the recommendation of a friend who knew of his athletic prowess.

Fighting is not a new concept to the Harris family. Gerald”s father was a competitive boxer and bestowed the name “Hurricane” on his son. Outside of MMA, Harris loves to draw but his goal in life is to make his mark in the UFC and win a belt.

Patrick "Wolverine" Flanagan     Patrick Flanagan, a survivor of the 2002 Orlando Starz, played Wide Receiver with the Rage/Starz in 2002 and 2003 before he traded in the stadium lights for the bright lights of Hollywood.

Now making his living as a stuntman and actor, Patrick's regular "gig" is working at Universal Studios as a stuntman in the T-3 show and others between his big screen appearances. Patrick's best known movie appearance was in Pirates of the Caribbean 3; At World's End.

Past Rage Personnel

MICHAEL SHANNON

Mike Shannon was one of the original "Rage" players and staff having been the motivating force behind the Space Coast Panthers SSFL team in the late 1990's. In 2002, the Panthers and the former Orlando Starz of the now-defunct UFL merged to create the Rage as we now know them.

Mike played linebacker and fullback for the Panthers from 1998 through 2001.

Mike now makes his home in Rockledge, Florida where he owns and operates "BUILDING BODIES FITNESS CENTER".

ANDREW G. HAINES

The former Orlando Starz was the brainchild of Andrew G. Haines, a self-described "Entrepreneur". In 1999, Andrew moved to the central Florida area with his family and couldn't stand to be on the sidelines any longer. Therefore, he did what any businessman would do; he started his own team, the Orlando Starz.

Andrew played linebacker for the Starz from 2001 through 2002.

From the basic groundwork that Andrew did the Orlando Rage now exist.

Andrew is currently operating www.BizSellers.com an online business brokerage, as well as having his hands in a number of other sports-related ventures.
