RAGE ACCEPT INVITATION TO 4TH CONSECUTIVE NBW

2010 National Bowl Weekend

The Orlando Rage have accepted an invitation for the FOURTH consecutive season to participate in National Football Events' (NBE) "National Bowl Weekend" (NBW).

The NFE is an organization dedicated to the marketing and promotion of Minor League Football throughout the United Stated. Its primary motivator is Jim Nugent. Jim observed that Minor League and Semi Professional teams seem always to play regionally and believes that if they were able to hold some events pitting some of the best of the various regions against one-another it would make for great entertainment. Hence the NBW.

The NBW is played each year during the MLK, Jr., Holiday when NBE garners between eight and 12 teams from throughout the country and pairs them in a Bowl-like event.

The O Rage has appeared three times before and when the 2010 Invitations went out, Rage owner, Chris Morrison was the first to "RSVP". "I'm excited about the event. Each year we participate as a final tune up for the upcoming season. And this year we really need it as we're affiliated with a new League and, frankly, need the practice".   Morrison commented.

The Rage are tentatively scheduled to host the Mid-Continental Football League's 2009 Runner-up Columbus Fire. The Fire ammassed a 2009 regular season undefeated season while scoring a total of 280 points (35 ppg) while being led by the League MVP, QB Antwan Gibbs.

The Rage surely have their work cut out for them.
